UFO above San Angelo
"It literally went straight up, slowly, and disappeared in the night sky." - Greg M.

Wednesday, February 5, 2014, 8 p.m.: Greg M. was driving with his fiancé along Highway 87 when they noticed a strange pair of lights hovering over the O. C. Fisher Dam. It had been hovering for several minutes, and at first the couple paid little attention to it. Suddenly, Greg's fiancé exclaimed,"What is that thing?!?" There, above the dam, a round object with two closely-set and extremely bright lights was rising steadily toward the zenith. Greg rolled down his windows and peered at the object, which was eerily silent.

Greg sped toward the object, trying to get a closer look as it climbed higher and higher into the sky. "It literally went straight up, slowly, and disappeared in the night sky because I saw the clouds covering it," Greg said. "Seriously, I've never seen anything like it!!"

Saturday, January 4, 2014, 6:30 a.m.: Only a few weeks earlier, a fellow resident of San Angelo had a UFO encounter of his own. Jay M. was making an early-morning trek on Highway 87, traveling towards Eden, when he witnessed something inexplicable in the skies above San Angelo.

Jay takes up the story: "I was going to be taking a day trip to San Antonio to run some errands for my cousin's wedding. So naturally I wanted to get an early start to my day. I was a little late getting on the road but by 6:30 a.m. I was passing the sign to turn off for Wall. I was the only vehicle on the road going in the direction I was traveling."

"I remembered taking a quick glance in my rear view and I had to do a double take. I saw this huge bright white light just sitting in the sky. It was too huge to be a star, not to mention too low. I kept glancing and eventually just started staring at the light when all of a sudden it just blinked out. I was speechless and kinda freaked out. I kept driving, waiting to see if it came back again. Within 15 minutes or so it reappeared in my mirror, this time farther off to the side but still visible. Within about two or three minutes, it blinked out again. I never saw it again."

If you've witnessed a UFO above San Angelo, or anywhere else for that matter, be sure to submit it to Odd Encounters, and help unravel this burgeoning mystery.
